COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled outdoor recreation leaders who lead and supervise dependent participants in recreational activities according to activity plans, which they develop.
This course emphasizes developing advanced skills in scuba diving, rescue diving, and dive leadership. Participants will engage in specialized units that cover dive planning, underwater navigation, and advanced diving techniques, ensuring they gain a comprehensive understanding of the underwater environment. Additionally, students will learn about dive equipment maintenance, emergency response, and risk management, equipping them with the necessary expertise to lead and supervise diving excursions safely and effectively.
Qualified leaders are proficient in recreational activity techniques and have well-developed leadership skills to manage group participation, cohesion, operational logistics, risk and significant problems as they arise.
CERTIFICATION
Certificate IV graduates may be able to work autonomously and take on limited responsibility. This segment’s share of industry revenue has increased over the past five years, reflecting the growing trend of workers upskilling.
